Happy School
Our founder Shri Padam Chand jee, a marvellous humanitarian and philanthropist embarked on the mission of providing robust and quality education to children of the walled city in the year 1933. In this endevour he realized that the biggest hurdle in achieving his aim was paucity of stalwart and zealous teachers. He connected with many educational structures and then was born in 1938- Happy Teachers Training Centre. It was recognized by Directorate of Education, Delhi & Punjab. Meanwhile, concerted efforts to acquire land yielded results in 1953 and the foundation of Happy school was laid in Daryaganj- the first ever co-educational public school in Central Delhi.
Shri Padam Chand Jee's ideology- The fundamental percept
"To grow physically, mentally, emotionally and intellectually- the child must essentially be happy."
He felt that Home is the first school where a child's initial learning experiences and values are shaped & the school and playground constitute the second environment of the child.
"The Happy Parent, the Happy teacher, and the Happy child forms an indivisible trinity" - was quint essential Padam Jee's Credo.

Since its inception, Happy School has accomplished an exceptional growth trajectory. This is reflected in many significant achievements and accolades garnered across nearly 72 years of institute's existence. -
The dissemination of education in keeping with NEP is student centric, inquiry & application based that encourages amongst students critical thinking, evaluation and creativity. The home work assignments encourage individual striving and self reliance. Problem solving and communication skills are an integral part of our curriculum and great emphasis is laid on team work as well. These soft skills enhance social and emotional development, teach the youngsters-to navigate personal relationships, manage life's challenges and become well rounded individuals.

Each class room of Nursery wing is equipped with smart board panels and individual smart rooms have been made available for all other departments. The school stands divided into four houses namely KABIR, TAGORE, SAPRU and TILAK - all men of exemplary achievements and patriotic fervour, truly an inspiration for young Happians. The student council, our second line of administration is an engaging and focused body. Our teachers actively engage in ongoing professional development activities leading to adoption of innovative teaching methodologies and upgraded instructional practices. The school has an anti-bullying panel and cameras have been strategically installed across the building.

The school regularly undertakes excursions, educational trips and organises adventure camps. Our students have travelled to Switzerland for educational trip, to Japan and the USA under student exchange programme. Educational visits to Banks and places of scientific & historical interests are an integral part of school's schedule.
